Lee A. Klombers, M.D.

dr_lee_klombersLee A. Klombers, M.D., is originally from Long Island, New York. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Amherst College, double majoring in Mathematics and Chemistry, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1980. He worked for the Department of Defense from 1980-1982. Subsequently, he received his M.D. Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1986, and completed his internship at Montefiore Hospital in 1987. He attended Duke University Eye Center from 1987-1991, completing his Ophthalmalogy residency and fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology, Adult Strabismus and Pediatric Ophthalmology. He is on staff at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, Lancaster General Hospital, Ephrata Community Hospital and Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital. He provides neonatal pediatric ophthalmic care to the Neonatal Intensive Care Units in Reading, Lancaster and Ephrata.

Dr. Klombers is one of the most experienced strabismus surgeons in Pennsylvania and has performed over 10,000 such operations on children and adults. He has a special interest in adult strabismus surgery and adjustable suture techniques. He has extensive experience with all types of eye movement disorders, pediatric eye disease, neurological eye disease, botulinum toxin treatment for movement disorders and many other areas within his fields of expertise. He resides in Brecknock Township and loves golf, ice hockey and baseball. He has three children who attend school in Lancaster.
